![]() It’s been the perfect craft to contain our excitement for the new Minions movie. Place the edge of the elastic over the edge of the felt and staple 6-7 times. I’ve heard my daughter recite all of her favorite Minions sayings like “Bido Bido” more times than I can count the last few days with her little puppets on her hands. Cut out a strip of elastic that same length. Now kids can slip their hand into the envelope to try out their puppet and have some fun Minion pretend play. It was a no brainer to choose the characters from the movie for this year’s Halloween costumes DIY Minion Goggle Hat Supplies: Yellow Knit Hat. For our purple minion, I cut out a mouth and teeth from cardstock and I also made slits in a piece of purple tissue paper for the hair and glued it to the back of the envelope. At least once a week that movie choice is Despicable Me. For instance, we used black cardstock for some hair and mouth on one of our yellow minions. You can use your black marker to add all the details like pupils, a mouth and hair, or you can add some additional cardstock pieces. Finish your puppets by adding any details you desire. Once your envelope halves have dried, glue your black strip on for the glasses frames, then glue the gray circles (one or two) onto the black strip. We used the larger side for the gray circles and the smaller side for the white circles.ģ. I found that a small plastic medicine cup (like for liquid Motrin) was the perfect size for the circles. We cut out a black strip for the Minion glasses and gray and white circles for the glasses and eyes (make sure to make the gray circles a bit bigger than the white). While we wait patiently the next few weeks for the Minions movie to be released, we decided to make some simple DIY Minion Puppets for Kids.
